How Tall Is Bigfoot

A question that comes up a lot when dealing with the subject of Bigfoot’s is how tall is Bigfoot. In fact just the other day while watching “Finding Bigfoot” with my niece who is only 11 years old she asked me how tall and big are these Bigfoot people. Now even though she’s only 11 I tried to answer her in the most logical way I could considering her age. I said if Bigfoot’s are indeed real then just like people they come in all different sizes and heights in which she nodded her head and said I agree.

Nevertheless there are some very serious people and Bigfoot researchers who have come up with some firm ideas on Bigfoot’s bodily proportions and height. All these purported body proportions and height measurements have been tabulated over years and years of reported Bigfoot sightings. In general when people talk about Bigfoot and its appearance we are typically talking about a fully grown adult Bigfoot. Even though children have been reportedly seen, when people refer to Bigfoot statistics they are referring to fully grown adults.

In general most Bigfoot sightings/encounters are very brief, in fact most accounts are less than a minute and often just only seconds. Now having said that, most Bigfoot’s are reported as being between 500 to 800 pounds. In terms of height they are typically between 7 to 9 feet tall, however how hard it is to believe there are even reports of Bigfoot’s being between 9 to 12 feet tall. On a personal note believing in Bigfoot is one thing, however believing there are Bigfoot’s which are 12 feet tall and likely close to a thousand pounds is quite hard for me to digest and quite frankly sound more like paranormal beings than anything else.

On the opposite spectrum there are similar Bigfoot sightings reported in Florida swampland however these creatures instead of being these massive and tall apelike beasts they are instead about half the size. They are reported to be roughly about 6 feet tall however just like any other living thing on this planet sizes can vary and some taller ones have been reported. On a side note these creatures are known as skunk apes because they are reported to really have a bad odor/smell. Many Bigfoot investigators believe that skunk apes are related to Bigfoot in some form or fashion however they are not exactly the same species.

So there you have it whether you’re talking about Bigfoot or the skunk ape they are generally between 6 and 10 feet tall and weigh several hundred pounds. Also even though Bigfoot is not known to smell pleasant whatsoever skunk apes are said to smell exceptionally bad.
